A review of The Staging Post by Ken park written on Tuesday 15th of December 2009
It's incredible just how bad it was!
Four of us arrived, about 7.30 on a Saturday evening. Only 2 people sitting (they were not happy.) The 'waiter' took our orders and told us our 'meals' would arrive shortly (2 stovies, 1 haggis and 1 chicken fajita). Nearly an hour later, they arrived.. The haggis/neep/tatties (national dish!) appeared in the shape of an upturned rectangular dish (flipped out of the microwave.) It was so overcooked that only the inside of this three-coloured slab of stodge could be eaten.)
My stovies (a sort of beef & potato hash) was served as a heap on a plate so hot it burned my hand. The 'food', however, was luke warm. When I took it to the 'waiter', he stuck his finger in it to test the temperature! He then served it to me again after a quick blast in the micro!
I explained how disgusted I was when I paid the bill but he refused to make eye contact. I paid and left.. for ever..
