"History and Beauty"

I had the privilege this weekend of entering a wondrous new world and talking to the very informative, competent and knowledgeable Colin Wood about a beautiful map dating fro 17.45. I have been looking for such a map for sometime now as one of my passions is the Jacobites and Kings across the water.

Luckily for me Colin had this absolutely beautiful map "Kingdom of Scotland" dating from the very period and housed in an outstanding frame.

I felt like a little boy again finding this jewel and listening to Colin explaining the map and its history for me.

We happily agreed a deal and I have already looked out a place of pride to display this beautiful map as you enter my own kingdom in my front hallway.

A boyhood dream to wish for and now to own such a beautiful treasure with the history it entails for me is quite emotional.

Thank you Colin, thank you so much for making this old guy feel young again. Alex..
